Funding Available To Employers Of Apprentices and Trainees

The CITB provides funding to employers of eligible apprentices and trainees.

The first step is to register with CITB. Both the employer and the apprentice/trainee need to be registered before funding can be made available.

If you have not already done so, this can be done on-line or by forwarding forms to CITB.

Funding currently available to employers of eligible apprentices and trainees:

Completions & On-Job Funding

Currently up to $1600 per year for Completion Funding on the anniversaries of the Contract of Training, and $1600 per year for On-Job Funding on presentation of the supporting documentation.

Doorways to Construction Incentive

Employers of apprentices who have successfully completed or are recruited from the CITB endorsed Doorways to Construction program are eligible for a one off payment which is currently up to $1000.

Tuition Incentive Funding

Tuition funding of up to $1600 is made available over three years to the apprentice/trainee or whoever has paid the "off job training" fees.

Only one claim per calendar year for the first three years of the apprenticeship.
