Where does the money go?

The CITB is a non-government, not-for-profit organisation overseen by a board of directors from key industry, community and government backgrounds, that serves to promote increased productivity, career opportunities, personal satisfaction and occupational health and safety through training within the building and construction industry.

The money collected by the CITB is used to fund training and skill development in the South Australian building and construction industry.

Each year the CITB uses its money to:

  • provide training to skilled workers within the industry to further enhance and develop their skills
  • support the training of construction apprentices and trainees
  • implement and manage a wide range of other programs to encourage the uptake of training in the SA building and construction industry
