Privacy StatementGeneralThe Construction Industry Training Board ("the CITB") administers the Construction Industry Training Fund and co-ordinates appropriate training pursuant to the Construction Industry Training Fund Act 1993 ("the Act"). The CITB may be contacted by telephone (08 8172 9500) or facsimile (08 8172 9501) during the hours of 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday to Friday. The CITB is committed to the protection of your personal information. Any information which you provide to the CITB, its Collection Agents or Training Providers will only be used for purposes that are consistent with the CITB's legal responsibilities under the Act. For example, the information
may be used for identification purposes to facilitate your future communications
with the CITB. Information may also be used for validation of training
claims and for statistical analysis. This information is vital for us
to provide historical summaries of the type of training which has been
funded, to assess eligibility for training subsidies, to ensure that only
eligible training is funded and to help us determine the future needs
for training in the building and construction industry in South Australia. You may have a legal obligation under the Act to provide some types of information that the CITB collects. If you do not provide all the information that the CITB requests, the CITB may also be unable to provide you with the information or services that you require. The information which you provide will be kept in a secure environment with access only available to authorized persons for authorized purposes. The CITB takes appropriate steps to ensure that all personal information it collects is protected from loss, misuse or unauthorised access, disclosure or modification.
